If you can read our minds

I swear there’s a letter inside saying

I’m here,

stop stepping on me

like a foot rug wiping your feet

thinking I’m just a weakling, I’m just like you,

God, just put me on this earth with a little less umpth,

I can do all you can do,

If you just give me a chance

but, you never (ever)

gave me a chance, all I am is different than you

all I want is to be equal with you,

all I need is a friend like you but, you describe me

under a word, gave me my place mimic’ed I’m a Disgrace.

If my gang burns one word,

another word will soon creep upon us hurting us, putting us down,

making us feel like we are

ghosts, that God made a mistake

to just blow across the globe like a plastic bag with no hope trust me

there’s always going to be new words. burning one word will not help us

we need to show people

we are one of them,

by not separating or running away,

by doing everything they do but,

with a little dash of our way.
