You Can Do Anything (Dream Edition)

I wrote this, for motivation for anyone (especially for people with disabilities) but anyone that needs a pick up in there life this poem can help.

We can do anything

that you can do

you try to prove us wrong

but dude, we never lose or draw

we can prove this to you all

if you just open the door

It’s so cold out here, let me in where it’s warm

you see I have a dream

but you deemed it nonsense because what?

I’m a person with a disability

pardon my language

but that's bullshit

the reason why you push us down is because your scared

of what we can achieve

if you set us free from that cage

that’s why I’m writing everyday

to remind them

the word binding is just another way they can stop you from fighting

rewriting history one poem a day,

sometimes I feel like

Spongebob

instead of a guitar lighting up the blindfold that cover your eyes I’ll do it through this rhyme

Ill watch it gleam over the sky and break before upon seeing your eyes

and challenge you to at least try

for one last time don't pay any mind to the barriers set in your way

climb that mountain anyways

and see if you succeed then you'll know

you can do anything,

be anyone you want to be see you can be a king or you can be a queen

don't matter if you have no wings

you can glide like Peter Pan or fly like Tinker Bell

even if you eventually fall those people who doubted you

will catch your fall and see it was so silly for them not believing in ya

because kid you can do anything,

now don't drop your head and flee yet

because

you got a lot of guidelines set on you to cross off,

knock off for the rest of us

fight until you get people to recognize us

for people

that we are just like them not pretending to be anyone else than us

I might be a disability but I'm not in elementary

I can see clearly that you don't believe in me

that

write a poem like somebody that is free

open minds like I'm not a disability

but am,

changing reality

writing history

that no person ever believed was possible

but that's me

rethinking reality
